God dammit, I love Maldonado Walk near Elephant and Castle.

It’s a short stretch of street in the arches of one of the lines that runs into the station.

Every arch contains at least one Latin American business, most of them restaurants, caffs and/or bars, some of them beauty parlours and bakeries. Some of them multiples of these things in one space.

I had a huge Colombian breakfast (Calentado) for £14. It had chicharrón, rice and beans, plantain, a massive sausage, scrambled egg and arepa.

My other half had (not pictured) arepa con todo (arepa with everything), we both had coffee, and we both had huge glasses of juice – I took mine with milk that made it almost like a milkshake, my other half chose water which made it more like a smoothy.

Absolutely stuffed with more to take home for £38. Great value

Photos I’m the post cover the food and some shots of the other eataries on this short stretch.
