One thing I wish London had more was casual dining options and whenever I travel I realised that other countries have in place restaurants or options which seem more accessible than London’s options which tend to favor buying prepped foods for you to make at home, or a cold sandwich.

Baltic countries: Milk kitchens, it’s cheap, self service, and you can walk in to get a pint and a wide variety of food ranging from roasted salmon to cheese cakes.

France: Rotisserie chicken stands. The ability to walk up to a store and just get freshly cooked chicken and some potatoes and vegetables is elite and allows one to extend those recipes into everything from chicken wraps to soup noodles. London has some but the good ones are far and few between.

South Africa: Braai stalls or just casual BBQs in general.
