Is the best asam laksa in London at an independent food hall in Holborn?
7 Floor Malaysia Tea Room. The sourness of the tamarind and pineapple, heat of the chilli, umami of the shrimp and fish paste, assorted herbs – all on point. Honestly the best thing I’ve eaten in London in months. I’m no expert but I’ve been obsessed with this since I came back from Penang and it was about as good as any I’d had in Malayasia. Curious if anyone’s had better?
Also a deeply filling meal in central london for £15 (no service charge).
